"Mikhail Vishnyak successfully completed his studies at the National Music Academy in Kiev under Professor V. Kurin in 1996. In 1997 and 1998, he was a soloist at the Zheleznogorsk Operetta Theatre and subsequently from 1998 to 1999 at the Krasnoyarsk Opera. Since then, he has been employed as a soloist at the Stanislavski and Nemirovich-Danchenko Academy in Moscow. In 2000, he was engaged at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow and also performed as a guest at the Moscow Helikon Opera. During this time, he sang the following roles: Herman in The Queen of Spades by P. Tchaikovsky, Cavaradossi in Tosca by G. Puccini, and Don José in Carmen by G. Bizet. In other theaters, he also played Grigory in Boris Godunov by Mussorgsky, Andrei Khovansky in Khovanshchina by M. Mussorgsky, and Radames in Aida by G. Verdi. In the autumn of 2000, he participated in the Festival of Russian Theaters. On the stage of the Saratov Opera, he sang the part of Herman in The Queen of Spades by P. Tchaikovsky and toured with it through the capitals of Russia, Estonia, and Denmark. In 2004, he went on a tour of all major American cities with the Stanislavski and Nemirovich-Danchenko Music Theatre, where he again performed the role of Cavaradossi in Tosca by G. Puccini.
